・ロータリーの綱領は、有益な事業の基盤として奉仕の理想を鼓吹し、これを育成し、特に次の各項を鼓吹育成することにある。
　 The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

　第１．奉仕の機会として知り合いを広めること。
　　 First. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service:
　第２．事業および専門職務の道徳的水準を高めること；
　　　　あらゆる有用な業務は尊重されるべきであるという認識を深めること；
　　　　そしてロータリアン各自が、業務を通じて社会に奉仕するために、その業務を品位あらしめること。
　　 Second. High ethical standards in business and professions;
　　　　　　the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations;
　　　　　　and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as on opportunity to serve society:
　第３．ロータリアンすべてが、その個人生活、事業生活および社会生活に常に奉仕の理想を適用すること。
　　 Third. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business and community life:
　第４．奉仕の理想に結ばれた、事業と専門職務に携わる人の世界的親交によって、国際間の理解と親善と平和を推進すること。
